Abstract

SUMMARY

Aim - to identify the cause of artefacts.

Material and metods
We have analyzed 500 protocols of 270 patients (aged 20-70). We used the Humphrey perimeter protocols with
the standard program 30-2 and 24-2 in the study.

Results
We have prezented the most common cases of artifacts (Lens rim artifact, “Trigger-Happy” and “Cloverleaf’
field, such defects are founded in ptosis, long eyelashes, chalazione, opacity optic mediums, midriasis) and the
causes of their occurrence.

Conclusion
In interpreting and investigating Humphrey's perimeter protocols the above factors must be considered in order
to avoid misinterpretation.
